Quoffers Pub
INVESTIGATION REPORT:
Quoffers Pubs is a great local place for us in Austin to kick our shoes off. We were
given a heads up that there has been reported activity at the place so we had to check it
out. We stopped by one evening and had a great conversation with the owner of the
pub, Simon. We learned that the pub had previously been used as a morgue for the
small town of Elgin. Simon and many of the bartenders have reported having previous
experiences. Occurrences rang from hearing strange banging, objects moving on their
own, uneasy presences begin felt, and unexplainable cold spots.
The night of the investigation had to be specially scheduled. Since this is a place of
business we had to work around the hours of operation. We set the date for a
weeknight and we didn't start setting up until around 12:30 AM. Once the pub cleared
out we got down to business setting up our cameras. We set out control objects such as
ash trays and glasses hoping to capture and object moving. Turning off all the neon
light one at a time proved to be an event but we finally got the place dark and empty.
The team made sweeps with the thermal, EMF, and voice recorders, and investigated
through the night with no unusual activity reported.
After reviewing all the video, audio, and photos we unfortunately didn't find any evidence
that we thought to be paranormal. We don't believe that one night of investigating will
be enough for this location. We will definitely be returning for follow up investigations.
We must always remember that paranormal activity is like a light switch it can be either
on or off.
We were met with open arms and welcomed
with a drink named in our honor!! We were
pleasantly surprised when we found that the nights
special was the Ghostbuster Shot. We got a big kick
out of that, unfortunately we couldn't enjoy one of
these drinks since we were there for business, but
something tells me that we will be back soon to
investigate the Ghostbuster Shot. If your
ever in the Elgin area and in need of something to
eat or drink stop by Quoffers Pub, you won't be
disappointed.
