Waverly Hills Sanatorium

INVESTIGATION REPORT:
WOW, where do I start.....Waverly Hills was everything we had heard and more.  The
sheer size of Waverly was a bit overwhelming at first, but we tackled this investigation
just like any other.  We feel privileged to have worked with the best group in Louisiana,
our personal friends Louisiana Spirits.  We loaded the truck with our equipment and
headed for Louisville on Thursday night and after a few hours sleep in Arkansas we
arrived Friday afternoon.  We got to enjoy ourselves for a few days before investigating
Waverly on Sunday night.  We got to mingle with LaSpirits, API out of California, and
Ghost Vigil. On our way home we were tired from lack of sleep and walking miles through
Waverly, but it was all worth it after collecting evidence and experiencing Waverly Hills
Sanatorium first hand.

We pulled up to Waverly just before dark, it took us a moment to really soak the place
in.  Waverly is so huge that I couldn't get the whole building in one photo.  Our guide
and security guard met us at the gate and was absolutely great the entire night.  We felt
welcome, and we were treated very well.  After a brief tour of all 5 floors we let loose to
setup all our equipment.  Combined with LaSpirits we had 4 DVR Systems that were
recording 16 cameras.  We had a thermal camera, and numerous voice recorders, EMF
meters, and video cameras.  We were told toward the end of the night that no other
group had more equipment except for one, TAPS.  We felt very good about that
comment since we have worked very hard to get our equipment where it is.  We also
wanted to cover Waverly to the best of our ability, and I believe we did.

To run all of our equipment was an experience.  There was only one area with working
outlets, so we had to make some adjustment.  We ran extension cords down the side of
the building to each floor to setup each DVR system.  Our group consisted of 19
investigators that split off into groups of 4 or 5.  We made rounds that left one floor
empty each time we rotated floors.  This was great because it allowed us to monitor
each floor with and without investigators present.  We setup control objects such as toys
and bouncing balls for the reported young boy named Timmie, and the young girl
named Mary.  We made our rounds with the thermal camera which was very cool
because of all the claims of shadow people all over Waverly.  Each investigator was
fortunate to have their own separate experiences.  Many investigators heard footsteps
from areas and floors that no one was occupying.  Toward the end of the night a small
group of investigators witness and interacted with a small shadow person that was seen
at the end of the hall.  Texas and Louisiana came together very nicely, as we always do,
to investigate one of the most haunted locations in the nation.  We had a great time, and
the investigation went off without a hitch.  We can't wait to go back!!!

Special thanks to Waverly Hills for showing us a great night and all the stories.  Thanks
to all the members of Louisiana Spirits, we will see you soon as always.

EVIDENCE:
We were very pleased with the evidence we found.  It definitely made the 34 hour round
trip totally worth it.  We gathered a few good EVPs and a few videos.
